Right. I still don't have a big enough list yet to offer up/procure votes for our next fic-writing challenge...so, in the mean-time:

I have chosen a table (completely at random!) from of the the eleventy billion communities that offer such challenges. It has 50 words/phrases that will act as prompts--and these are supposed to help INSPIRE you to the heights of literary/visual artistic perfection. *snort*

If you choose to accept this challenge, comment here with a number from 1-50 and I will PRIVATELY message you the prompt (so as to keep it secret until the reveal).

Write a haiku (or five), a drabble, a song-fic; create 5 NEW icons, a manip, or a wallpaper that expresses this theme; create a video, a song mix...ANYTHING YOUR HEART DESIRES so long as it fits the prompt.

These creations will be due on Sunday, July 27^th (NO EARLIER!!!) and you will have until Tuesday, July 29^th at 11:59 pm PT to post them.

(Also, no discussing your prompts. While it wouldn't NECESSARILY ruin anything, it is cheating and that's NOT FAIR.)

As I understand quite a few people are now inquiring about the Best of Rayne. (It would have been nice if you'd asked me (like greenowl and mjimeyg) instead of posting it to a community i don't really watch anymore - but bygones be bygones).

The reason that it hasn't run is because only 'eight' of you nominated anything (BIG THANKS TO THOSE PEOPLE). And at current the only category that has enough competition to run is the Fic Category for 'Sex.' That would be kind of pointless.

I've been debating what to do about this because I certainly don't want to shut down the Best of Rayne – So here’s the deal. I will keep nominations open for another two weeks. Once that’s done I’m running this thing with whatever I have.

No, WCMI is not dead. Brianna just doesn't have much free time now that she's been drop-kicked out of college and into the real world. Once the dust settles for her we'll get WCMI back on track...and trust me, there are good things to come. Come to think of it one of the best segments we've ever mapped out for the comic (as far cameos, fangirl-pleasing fluff and sweet, sweet LOLZ goes) isn't very far off at all. We laughed ourselves dizzy while plotting that scene and we hope it does the same for all of you. So hang in there and be patient, mmkay? We can always kick up a writing challenge or other such halftime entertainment during this lull. Perhaps a fill-in-the-blank fanfic challenge? An art challenge? Maybe both since plenty of folks can write but not draw or versa.  Maybe there'll even be a little reward for the one we like best, like a *big* future spoiler or a peek at some fun little Reg/Alice sketches that haven't been seen by the public yet. Whatcha think?

Shameless plug time. I do in fact have a Deviantart page and yes, I can in fact draw! (Please don't compare my 'art' to Bri's...that's like comparing a goldfish to a great white shark!) I just might post some random little WCMI drabbles there in the near future. BWAHAHHAAaaa...ahem.
